Our Classes

We aren’t your average messy craft club! I like to think of our classes as a bit of a bridge between the freedom of messy play and the structure of school—a developmental, creative program that’s laid-back and centered around the children.

Small Classes (No Crowds!) We keep our groups to a maximum of 15 children. This means the room never feels chaotic, and your child gets the attention they need.  Our classes have a friendly, relaxed vibe where both children and parents can make genuine friends in a relaxed environment. In fact, many of our crafty kids (and parents!) meet their future school mates right here in our lovely local classes.

A Qualified Teacher in Charge

As a teacher, its really important to me to take an individualised approach - getting to know the children's names, favourite colours, and artistic style is one of my favourite things about our classes. Our classes are SEN and Home Education Friendly and as an experienced teacher, I can spot when a child needs a bit of extra support or encouragement and help them build their confidence at their own pace.

A Routine They’ll Love

I believe that kids thrive on structure, so I follow a simple format every week that the children love:

  1. Circle Time: Time to speak, listen & learn something new.

  2. Guided Craft: Where children learn to create something in small manageable steps.

  3. Free-play: Time to decompress with colouring, stickers, stamps and playdough.

  4. Bubble Time: We always finish with a bit of music and bubbles!

  5. Stickers: Children line up to receive their Crafty Kids sticker and a special well done from their teacher.

Art Worth Keeping

We’ve all got enough "glitter on a plate" at home. At Crafty Kids, we use a variety of tools, materials and methods, and every week is different, so the kids make meaningful, creative work that they’re proud of.

Learning Is Fun

We embed "school-ready" skills into every session. Our classes cover things like counting, colour, shape & letter recognition—all the EYFS framework basics, but without any of the classroom pressure.

Please take a look at our social media which has pictures and videos from all our wonderful sessions!

Peace of Mind

I want Crafty Kids to be a space where parents feel just as comfortable as the children. To ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism, I am:

  • Fully DBS Checked (Enhanced)

  • Public Liability Insured

  • First Aid Trained (Kit always available to hand)

  • My Safeguarding Policy is available here.

Hi, I’m Hayley!

I’m a mum of two, a teacher with nearly a decade of experience in Art, Design, and Media, and I'm a lifelong crafting addict.

I’m incredibly passionate about showing young people that creativity isn't about perfection; it’s about the joy of the process and learning to embrace those "happy accidents" along the way, because making mistakes is how we learn!

Since leaving full-time teaching to focus on my family and this business, I’ve had the best time dreaming up new projects every week (especially the ones involving sparkles!). My goal has been to build a community where both parents and children feel genuinely welcome.

I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones in class soon!
